Jennifer has been painting since she was a small child, along side her father, Dale Glasgow, who is also an artist. In high school, as an AP art student, she was asked to do an honorary show at The Central Rappahannock Regional Library in Virginia for several months. The Stafford County Courthouse in Virginia also asked Jennifer to be part of a group show, and has one of Jennifer's paintings in their permanet collection to this day. Jennifer attended the Art Institute of Washington summer art program in High School as well as interning for her father's Multimedia Design Studio, Glasgow Media Inc.

She received her Bachelors degree in Media Arts and Design, with a minor in Art from James Madison University, in Virginia. She graduated early from college and moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in film and art. Jennifer found a home for her art on Abbot Kinney Boulevard in Los Angeles, CA, "which plays host to A-list celebrities (actress Julia Roberts and architect Frank Gehry have brought property here) in addition to the original bohemian crowd of artists and writers." (source: discover Los Angeles.com) at the Stansbury Collection and The Bohemian Exchange. In 2010, Jennifer was asked to do 3 pieces for the TV Land Awards, as gifts for celebrities (Tim Allen and Blondie). Following that experience, Jennifer's popularity grew and she began doing more commissioned work for private collectors (notable actors, directors, editors, and producers).

In 2011 Jennifer had offers from other galleries in LA to show her work, but she felt the urge to fulfill a lifelong dream to live and work as an artist in New York City. In February 2012 she was asked to do a Solo show by NYC Invitations and We Heart Art on the Empire Hotel Rooftop. The event was a huge success with over 400 guests in attendance (the bouncer had to turn people away at the door). NYC Invitations asked Jennifer to do another show in 2012. Following the Empire Hotel show, Jennifer was also asked to do another Solo show by Ward-Nasse Art Gallery in SoHo. Jennifer became a member at Ward-Nasse. Currently, Jennifer is seeking a place for her work in Chelsea, the thriving art neighborhood in Manhattan.

About Jennifer's Process:

Jennifer works in oil paint on canvas, masonite, or wood. She finds inspiration for her paintings from dreams and visions she has had.

"I want to create art that steps outside the confines of religious symbolism into the realm of experience, in which a larger than life mystery can be felt regardless of the religious background of the viewer." -Jennifer Glasgow
