A couple weeks ago, I was a model on the show “The View” on ABC. Everyone there was so friendly and fun to work with! Barbara Walters is a true icon and was such a gracious host. I would love to be on the show again some time, just for the opportunity to hang out with all those cool ladies! Dr. Doris Day, the dermatologist (from the segment I appeared in) is amazing and a true expert in her field.
Check out her summer skincare tips in this clip from the show:
Last week I acted in an experimental short film called “La Noyée” directed by Rex Yau, owner and cinematographer at arcDéco films in NYC. I was the lead actress and the only actress. The other character was the audience, meaning I had to act as if the camera was the person I was speaking to. Did I mention it’s a love story? It was definitely interesting to shoot and I’m curious to see how it turns out. I will try and post the film when it’s done! Here are some stills from the shoot as well as a couple silly pictures I posted to my instagram
I recently had a commercial audition for a major beauty brand and one of the requirements in the breakdown was to be a fashion or beauty blogger. I quickly put this blog together for that audition, then afterwards decided to continue the blog for fun. I’m an actress, artist, and petite model (meaning I’m not 6 foot tall) and I live in the most magical city in the world, New York City. Right now it’s winter in NYC, so my this post is all about the cozy things I’m bundling up in right now. The first photo is a selfie (sorry) taken at my loft and the others were taken by my friend Nathan Winston, a photographer in LA and my friend Sara Kerens, a photographer in NYC.
Brigitte Bardot is my favorite style icon from the 1960′s. What I like about her style is her bold femininity and her almost child-like, free-spirited attitude. She wasn’t afraid to let her personality shine through and that made her all the more lovely. I love her BIG, blonde hair and that fact that it wasn’t always perfect. She had the best cat eyes, with minimal eye shadow, which to me, seems low maintenance (which I’m a fan of). She also had a healthy feminine figure, and really embraced it.
A few months ago, my friend Mark Leubers, a fashion photographer in NYC, Crista Cabanas, a film and fashion stylist also in NYC, and I did a Bardot inspired shoot on top of our friend Kelly’s rooftop in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. I did my own hair and makeup for the shoot and Crista provided the clothes and accessories. Doing this shoot with good friends really helped me channel the Bardot mentality: to just let go and have fun. Below are some photos from our shoot, mixed in with a few of my favorite shots of the one and only, BB. xo.
